Animal Kingdom Awakens at Night With New Jungle Book Show, Parties & More!

Starting Memorial Day Weekend, you\’ll be able to experience Animal Kingdom in a whole new way – after the sun goes down! Even though we don\’t have an official date for the much-anticipated Rivers of Life, there are some other fun new enhancements and opportunities available for this summer!

Ride Kilimanjaro Safaris at sunset or trek down Kali River Rapids at twilight. Dance with some African performers in Harambe Village or see a new show that takes place on Discovery River to celebrate Disney\’s newest live-action film, “The Jungle Book.”

\”The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic\” is available only for the summer. With music and lights, you\’ll be able to hear the classic songs combined with an Indian twist!

The Tree of Life will come to life as the spirits from the animals carved on the tree awaken and come to life each evening.

I\’m crossing my fingers that Disney has this all figured out because I think the idea is fascinating!

In Harambe Village and on Discovery Island, you\’ll find evening parties with music, dancing, stilt walkers, food and more.

This promises to be a fun experience where you can really interact with the \”locals\” and get a feel for the culture and music of Africa!

Have you ever wondered with the African savanna looks like at night? For the first time ever, Kilimanjaro Safaris will be open after dark. Using special lighting, you can explore the savanna at \”sunset\” even into the later evening hours! And there\’s more to ride than just Kilimanjaro Safaris! Try Expedition Everest at night! Ride the dark waters of Kali River Rapids and visit DinoLand USA for games and more.

Don\’t forget to plan for dinner. Perhaps try Tiffins for dinner (or lunch) or one of the other great restaurants in Animal Kingdom–Yak & Yeti, Tusker House or Rainforest Cafe.

Make plans to explore Animal Kingdom after dark this summer! You won\’t want to miss this!
